Juneau is a rainy town, silver clouds forever hanging down
Drip lines digging deep into the ground, cause Juneau is a rainy town

Salt water mud flats now are neighborhoods,
Below the ridges where mountain goats and eagles brood
Watch the seaplanes dropping down through the mist,
Skidding on the water past the big cruise ships

Juneau is a rainy town, silver clouds forever hanging down
Drip lines digging deep into the ground, cause Juneau is a rainy town

There’s moss on the roofs, peeling paint is all around
The City wants to buy the wharf just to tear it down
To make room for more damned cruise ships and their fur and diamond stores
To take a great lady and make her into a whore

Juneau is a rainy town, silver clouds forever hanging down
Drip lines digging deep into the ground, cause Juneau is a rainy town

A little house on B Street with ravens all around
Big Al throws out his stale bread and it scatters on the ground
He used to be a fisherman, he used to tend his nets
Now they’re lost amidst the chaos of the trash that he collects

Juneau is a rainy town, silver clouds forever hanging down
Drip lines digging deep into the ground, cause Juneau is a rainy town

All gold is fools gold, the old miner says
As he coughs into his whiskey and chews upon his bread
The mine is now a museum, rusting steel is all around
A grave marker for the Glory Hole that sunk into the ground

Juneau is a rainy town, silver clouds forever hanging down
Drip lines digging deep into the ground, cause Juneau is a rainy town
Juneau is a rainy town
Juneau is a rainy town
Juneau is a rainy town.
